In Loving Memory 1948 ~ 2017
When Claire Squires sadly passed away while running the London Marathon in 2012 only one mile from the finish line, there were some delays with the family receiving a specially commissioned medal for Claire. In a six degrees of separation scenario, Claire's best friend was Rod's wife's hairdresser and it came up in conversation. When Rod, having had dealings with the London Marathon acting as support staff for many years, heard this story he was all too eager to help expedite things for her family. This was a charity that meant a lot to Rod due to its connection with the London Marathon which he was so passionate about.
The Squires Effect aims to inspire and encourage others to achieve their goals and ambitions and bring charities and fundraisers together.
