We believe that being older does not mean being exempt from having fun. Our overriding philosophy is that 80 is the new 60! We aim to be inclusive, not exclusive and encourage everyone to join in with our many varied activities. We are also aware that some people may find this difficult and our day visitors are more than welcome to come and read a paper knowing that they are about to enjoy a home cooked meal alongside friends - you are never too old to gain new skills or make new friends.   Heritage House aims to provide a haven from the solitude that many of our day visitors endure on a day to day basis. It is also important to recognise the cascade effect that having a few hours respite has on families and carers. Imagine if you can the stress and fatigue involved in caring for a loved one with either physical or capacity mental issues for 24 hours a day, especially if you are of advancing age yourself.
