security policy

We need donors, charities and funeral directors to trust our site in order to manage their fundraising therefore we make security a key factor in our processes and data storage.

Through our partners World Pay, we maintain the highest international standards in on-line security.

Our people, our IT systems and our data storage are monitored and tested and audited to ensure that any information is kept secure. Our data storage through our hosting partners, is secured by the highest industry standard protocols and no card or customer data is kept by Memory Giving in the same location.

As per the Data Protection Act 1998, we are registered with the ICO.

We utilise through our card processing partners the MasterCard® SecureCode™ and Verified by Visa payment protocols and monitor patterns of payment in light of fraudulent testing of stolen card data. Any suspicions will be reported immediately through our card payment service.

Memory Giving has no access to credit card numbers, service dates and pins / password details at any time.

Employee access

We have invested in a system that permits only authorised staff to view data such as funeral and charity log in areas, all of which are traceable.

Data storage

Our data storage is accessed through a secure physical and electronic process.

Transaction security

All transaction and credit card information entering Memory Giving systems is encrypted using 128-bit SSL certificates from VeriSign. No cardholder information is ever passed unencrypted in a web browser to Memory Giving. You can be completely secure in the knowledge that nothing you enter as part of a secure JG transaction can be examined, used or modified by any third parties attempting to gain access to sensitive information.

Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard compliance

Through our World Pay partners, we comply with the PCI DSS – a series of security standards that apply across the card payment industry worldwide.
