What terribly sad news. I only met Mark on one occasion when we played together at the 450th school anniversary golf event in 2017. It was immediately evident from the excellence of his company why he was held in such high esteem by so many, A tragic and premature loss for his family. In my case it rekindles the memory of another fine man, Mark's uncle Noel (my godfather), who died in similar sad circumstances.

A very lovely man, taken from his family and friends far too early. I didn't know him as well as others, but I have only the warmest recollections. Incredibly generous, in every sense, and wonderfully uncomplicated and non-judgemental; someone who never had a hidden agenda, and was only ever interested in and supportive of others.
