OLLERTON, DAVID David Ollerton died peacefully at his home in Cardiff on March 18th. Throughout long-term illness David displayed remarkable courage and confidence, rooted in his faith in Jesus Christ. David was the much loved husband of Liz, loving father of Ruth, Andrew and Joy, and ‘Taid’ to six adoring grandchildren and brother of John. David’s great passion was to see the good news of Jesus Christ shared throughout Wales. To this end, David learnt Welsh fluently, founded ‘Waleswide’ (an organisation dedicated to renewing churches across Wales) and recently published a book: A New Mission to Wales. David also loved to walk the summits of Welsh mountains for as long as God gave him strength. During the summer of 2016, David completed the challenge of climbing all 33 mountains over 2000 feet in South Wales whilst undergoing chemotherapy. He raised over £7000. David will be greatly missed, but the seeds he has sown will now be watered by
