Bob was my brother-in-law and always called me 'Bro'. My first memory of Bob was when I was about 13 and this massive bloke with a beard started showing up at our house with Maxine and sitting on my favourite spot on the settee, making our living room look even smaller! That was me on the carpet with the Chico the dog! As I got older, Bob was a great source of information on pubs and beer. Bob was a smart guy and was able distil a lot of information into a few words. He could see through any B.S which was being spoken and never took sides. Bob didn't talk much about work, but I know he must have been really good at it! His main interest was his family and what a husband, Dad and Grandad he must have been! He also showed a very caring side to his in-laws and was a good listener to anyone with problems. Helen, Ruby and I will miss him, but because he was such a strong character, he will never really leave us. Love you Bob forever!

Bob has been part of my life since I was eleven, when he started courting my sister, Max. He played games with me, taught me how to bowl and let me put imaginary make-up on his hairy face. Bob has been a huge part of our family, there to support at the sad times and sharing the many happy times, celebrations and parties - most of which he was the host. This Aslan of a man was much loved and will be deeply missed by us all. Love Lois, Barry, Billy, Delilah and Samuel xxx
