My thoughts go to Ed and Simon, what an immensely sad time for you both.
I have some many lovely fond memories of your dad, if an had to pick one it would be how much he loved and adored your mum.
He was the essence of many firsts for me.
My first sloe gin and us both get too tipsy on it, which later led to sloe berry collecting in the years to come
Being tasked with collecting Holly for Christmas table centres because I was the creative one.
My first and only chickens and their beautiful bespoke house although I think this was an excuse to start his own chicken empire.
The dining table he made for me, still the heaviest item of furniture I own, impossible to move and never coming apart, ever.
Secretly and quietly making and fixing things that would make people smile
He was kind, resourceful, always helpful, and gave the strongest hugs.
I hope he is at peace as I have only happy recollections.
Love to you both xx
